Robert Griffin III hasn't received any indication on whether he'll crack the Baltimore Ravens' opening day roster after he was held out of Thursday's preseason finale against his former team, the Washington Redskins.

"I put my best foot forward," Griffin said, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "You go out there and you're effective, and that's all you can ask for. There's no stress or worry on my end because I know I went out there and showed them that I'm ready to go. We'll see what they decide."

Griffin is bidding to make the Ravens as a third quarterback behind Joe Flacco and 2018 first-rounder Lamar Jackson. He's facing an uphill battle, though, as Baltimore hasn't kept three pivots on its roster since 2009.

"If I get that call (being cut), I'm sure it will be an emotional call," said Griffin, who was out of football last year. "But it's because it's been a long journey back. But I've enjoyed the journey, and I've tried to stay resilient and tough through it all."

Griffin, a former No. 2 overall pick and Rookie of the Year, played well in his three preseason outings. Ravens coach John Harbaugh endorsed Griffin's roster candidacy after the Redskins game, but acknowledged he's still very much on the bubble.

"There's no doubt that you want Robert Griffin on your team," he said. "He makes our quarterback room better and stronger. He looks like a starter to me. He has been a starter. Certainly a backup in this league, without question. I mean, that's not even close. I would like to have him on the team. We'll just have to see how the math works."
