Tom Brady is sticking to football in 2018.

The New England Patriots quarterback recently made headlines after ending an interview prematurely due to questions regarding Alex Guerrero - his friend and personal trainer - and his standing with the team.

Brady insisted his primary focus will be on the team and will not answer further questions about Guerrero.

"I don't want to bring on any drama this year," Brady told reporters Friday, via ESPN's Mike Reiss. "I'm just focused on what I want to do, and be a great football player for this team and be a good example in the locker room, provide great leadership. That's where my focus is.

"I know people want to talk about a lot of other things, but I just really want to stick on football and focus on being the best I can be for this team."

Guerrero traveled with the Patriots in Week 3 of the preseason for their game against the Carolina Panthers. Last season, head coach Bill Belichick reportedly curbed the trainer's access to players other than Brady and stopped him from joining the team on road trips.

Despite arguably being the face of the NFL, Brady was also uninterested in answering questions regarding Nike's recent advertisement with Colin Kaepernick.

"I really want to focus on football, not hot topics, and my reaction to a lot of hot topics and so forth," Brady said. "(I want to) Get ready for the (Houston) Texans - they're a great team. That's where my focus is, not on advertisements and so forth."
