Josh Rosen will be charged with salvaging the Arizona Cardinals' 2018 season amid an 0-3 start.

Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks named the rookie quarterback as his new starter under center on Monday. Rosen made his NFL debut late in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, replacing a struggling Sam Bradford with 4:31 remaining in the fourth quarter and the Bears holding a 16-14 lead.

The 21-year-old completed four of his seven pass attempts for 36 yards, but his first career drive concluded with an interception.

He threw a second pick on his next drive, but the play was called back due to an offside penalty called against Bears linebacker Khalil Mack.

Arizona sent the 15th, 79th, and 152nd picks in April's draft to the Oakland Raiders for the rights to select Rosen at No. 10.

Rosen was the fourth of the five quarterbacks chosen in the first round to make his NFL debut this season. It's the first time since 1967 that five first-round QBs have played within the first three weeks of their shared rookie campaign, according to NFL Research.

The 30-year-old Bradford signed a two-year, $20-million contract with the Cardinals this offseason. He had completed 62.5 percent of 80 pass attempts for 400 yards (5.00 yards per attempt), two touchdowns, and four interceptions.

The No. 1 pick in the 2010 draft has played for four teams and owns a 62.5 completion percentage over 83 career games.
