Frank Reich has no problem defending his controversial fourth-down call during overtime on Sunday.

With a contest between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans tied 34-34 and 27 seconds left in overtime, Reich went for it on 4th-and-4 from the Colts' 43-yard line.

The play resulted in an incompletion, giving the Texans enough time to get in position for a game-winning 37-yard field goal.

"We're not playing to tie," said the first-year head coach, via George Bremer of The Herald Bulletin. "I'm going for that 10 times out of 10."

Reich spent the previous two seasons as Doug Pederson's offensive coordinator on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles were celebrated in 2017 for their fourth-down gambles, but Reich's risk didn't pay off on Sunday.

"That was the risk we were willing to take," he said.

Colts players didn't object to their coach's decision. Quarterback Andrew Luck fully supported the fourth-down call.

"Love it. Everybody in that locker room liked that - no, loved that. Loved that. We can get behind that," Luck said, per Zak Keefer of the Indianapolis Star.
