Report: Bills unlikely to trade McCoy to Eagles
Despite reports that the Philadelphia Eagles are interested in a possible reunion with LeSean McCoy, the Buffalo Bills are unlikely to trade the running back to his former team, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The two teams did discuss a potential trade, per Rapoport, but it's believed the asking price for the halfback would be too much for Philadelphia. McCoy is expected to stay in Buffalo for the remainder of the 2018 campaign, as well as 2019.
Both McCoy and Bills head coach Sean McDermott brushed off trade rumors Wednesday, instead focusing on their upcoming matchup with the Houston Texans.
The 30-year-old running back spent the first six years of his career in Philadelphia before being traded to Buffalo in 2015. He was a two-time All-Pro as a member of the Eagles.
McCoy has rushed for more than 1,100 yards in each of the past two seasons with the Bills, yet he's totaled just 170 yards and no touchdowns through four games this season.
