Aaron Rodgers was reportedly quite angry that he wasn't given the opportunity to finish Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams with the ball in his hands.

With Rodgers' Green Bay Packers trailing 29-27 late in the fourth quarter, Ty Montgomery opted to return a kickoff he caught in the end zone instead of taking a knee and handing the ball to his star quarterback. Montgomery subsequently fumbled on the return and Los Angeles recovered the football before running out the clock to seal the victory.

"Aaron was hot," one Packers coach said, according to Michael Silver of NFL.com. "And he had a right to be. He yelled, 'Take a f---ing knee!' He was very, very mad."

According to Silver, a group of Packers players and coaches had witnessed Montgomery throwing a tantrum on the sideline during the Packers' previous offensive series after being removed from the game.

"They took him out (the previous drive) for a play and he slammed his helmet and threw a fit," one Packers player reportedly said. "Then (before the kickoff) they told him to take a knee, and he ran it out anyway. You know what that was? That was him saying, 'I'm gonna do me.' It's a f---ing joke.

"I mean, what the f--- are you doing? We've got Aaron Rodgers, the best I've ever seen, and you're gonna take that risk? I mean, it's (No.) 12! All you gotta do is give him the ball, and you know what's gonna happen."

Montgomery had previously returned three kickoffs in the game, averaging 22.7 yards.

Now third in the NFC North with a record of 3-3-1, Green Bay will have a road game in Week 9 against the New England Patriots.
