Trocheck stretchered off vs. Senators with apparent leg injury
Florida Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck was stretchered off the ice Monday versus the Ottawa Senators after a hard collision into the end boards that caused him to fall awkwardly on his right leg.
After the game, a 7-5 victory, head coach Bob Boughner said that Trocheck's injury isn't of the short-term variety.
An update from Coach on Trocheck's injury:

"We don't know the extent of the injury. We know it's not going to be a short-term thing... He's going to be reassessed, but he's coming back with us to Tampa Bay and then home to South Florida."
The potential loss of Trocheck is a massive blow for the Panthers. The 25-year-old has recorded 14 points in 17-plus games this season serving as Florida's second-line center while also eating up minutes on the top power-play unit.
Florida, who has also dealt with injuries to goaltender Roberto Luongo this season, currently sit six points outside the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.
