Ravens' Jackson named starter vs. Raiders
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh announced Friday that Lamar Jackson will start at quarterback on Sunday versus the Oakland Raiders.
Joe Flacco is still nursing a hip injury and did not practice all week, opening the door for Jackson to start his second consecutive game.
Jackson made his first career start in last week's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The No. 32 pick rushed for 117 yards on 27 attempts, while completing 13 of 19 pass attempts for 150 yards and one interception.
The rookie's 27 carries were the most a quarterback has recorded in one game since 1970. He also became just the fourth quarterback to rush for 117-plus yards and pass for 117-plus yards in the same contest.
The 5-5 Ravens currently sit 2 1/2 games back of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the competitive AFC North.
