Roethlisberger: INTs come with 'go out and sling it' mentality
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger isn't apologizing for a playing style that has him tied for second in the NFL in interceptions, including a game-sealing pick at the Denver Broncos' goal line on Sunday.
"I'm a quarterback that is going to go out and sling it," Roethlisberger said on his weekly radio show Tuesday, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
Only New York Jets rookie Sam Darnold has thrown more interceptions than Roethlisberger this season.
Still, the 36-year-old Roethlisberger ranks second in passing yards per game (333) and is tied for seventh in touchdowns (24). He's also on pace for a career high in yards and leads the league with 472 attempts through the air.
The Steelers hold the top spot in the AFC North with a record of 7-3-1.
