Chargers roast Stephen A. Smith after on-air gaffes
ESPN's Stephen A. Smith had a segment to forget on Thursday's edition of "First Take."
The hot-take artist forgot Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware had been ruled out of the marquee Thursday night showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers, forgot the Chargers had moved from San Diego to Los Angeles, and highlighted a matchup between injured Chargers tight end Hunter Henry and former Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson.
In just this short clip Stephen A. Smith:

- Forgot Spencer Ware was out
- Called them San Diego Chargers
- Said he was looking forward to watching Hunter Henry, who hasn't played all year
- Said Henry was going up against Derrick Johnson, who is a free agent

The Chargers' social media team whipped up a creative response a few hours after the segment aired, updating the team's injury report to list retired running back LaDainian Tomlinson, quarterback Dan Fouts, and wide receiver Lance Alworth as out for Thursday's game.

Smith eventually responded to the issue himself, making light of his mistakes with some help from ESPN's graphics department.
