The 3 best prop bets for Eagles-Rams

The prop market is one that bettors can capitalize on by finding edges on specific, individual matchups. Here are our three favorite prop bets for the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football.

Josh Adams Over 58.5 rushing yards (-120)

The Eagles are going to need to get creative offensively. They're 13-point underdogs in L.A. and fighting for their playoff lives behind backup Nick Foles, who will likely need to trade punches with Rams quarterback Jared Goff and the high-flying Rams offense. Though Foles figures to be regularly airing out the ball, the Eagles might be able to get something going on the ground with rookie running back Adams. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson recently stressed the importance of both running the football and increasing the tailback's workload heading forward. Adams will have a chance for a big game against a Rams defense allowing 5.1 yards per carry, the most in the NFL.

Brandin Cooks Over 80.5 receiving yards (-120)

If there's any spot that fantasy or prop bettors want to avoid, it's slot receivers against the Eagles, who are allowing the second-fewest points to that position this season. Rams wide receiver Robert Woods had a tough matchup last weekend against Chicago Bears slot corner Bryce Callahan and now faces another difficult test. But we don't dislike Woods in Week 15 as much as we simply love Cooks. Philly is allowing the most yards per game to receivers lined up out wide, where the speedy Cooks has been roughly 80 percent of the time this season.

Zach Ertz touchdown (+137)

We recommend taking a flier on Eagles tight end Ertz to score a touchdown during the game Sunday night. He saw 23 combined targets in Foles' first two starts of the season and has been one of the backup's go-to weapons. Ertz has also been targeted inside the 10-yard line on roughly 30 percent of pass attempts, which ranks No. 10 in the NFL in terms of player usage.
