McVay: Gurley will get knee checked out after brief exit vs. Eagles
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley will get an examination on his knee after briefly leaving Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Gurley was deemed questionable by the team following the injury but returned to the contest shortly thereafter without further incident.
"We will get that thing checked out," Rams head coach Sean McVay said postgame, according to ESPN's Lindsey Thiry.
Gurley rushed for 48 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries, adding a team-high 10 receptions for 76 yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Eagles in a 30-23 loss.
"He got banged up a little bit, but what a warrior he is. Love that guy," McVay said of Gurley, according to Cameron DaSilva of The Rams Wire.
Gurley is the focal point of the Rams' offense, and though he appeared to be fine for the duration of the game, it would be a profound loss for the team if he missed any time at all.
