Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield may be a rookie, but he's already handling the tough questions like a veteran.

During Sunday's 26-18 victory, Mayfield appeared to stare down Cincinnati Bengals special assistant and former Browns head coach Hue Jackson while passing the sidelines, but the signal-caller said such an exchange never occurred.

"No idea what you're talking about," Mayfield said, according to ESPN's Pat McManamon.

Jackson was fired as Cleveland's coach on Oct. 29 after posting a cumulative record of 3-36-1 during his tenure with the team. He then accepted a job with the Bengals shortly after, leading Mayfield to say he didn't agree with Jackson's decision to join a division rival.

Following the end of the Nov. 25 game between the two clubs, the pair exchanged a tense postgame exchange. Mayfield then called Jackson "fake" on Instagram.

Mayfield appears to have won the feud with his former head coach, as the Browns moved to 7-7-1 and enter Week 17 on a three-game winning streak, while the Bengals slumped to 6-9 with the loss on Sunday.
