For many Hamiltonians who grew up in the '50s and '60s, no Christmas would have been complete without a trip downtown to see the window displays at Eaton's. The department store, which was synonymous with Christmas in those years, set up an elaborate, mechanical display that delighted children and adults alike. In this Hamilton Spectator photo was taken on James Street North on December 13, 1961, a boy peers inside to catch a glimpse of the snowy toyland scene.
