Chiefs fan gets Mahomes 'champ stamp' tattoo after losing bet
Kansas City Chiefs fan David Leach fulfilled a two-year-old bet on Friday when a tattoo of Patrick Mahomes was inked on his lower back.
Leach, a native of Raytown, Mo. who now lives in Los Angeles, bet his friends that the Chiefs would never draft a quarterback in the first round, according to Stephanie Graflage and Marcus Officer of WDAF-TV.
After the Chiefs selected Mahomes with the No. 10 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and Leach lost the bet, his friends decided he would get a Chiefs-themed lower back tattoo, which they dubbed a "champ stamp."

"I'm a man of my word," Leach said. "My hometown - I can't come home without them rubbing it in my face. I knew I had to do it."
The tattoo got underway at 9 p.m. CT on Thursday at Butchs Tattoo in Blue Springs, Mo. and was completed 11 hours later. Leach hopes to have Mahomes sign his new ink and get the signature tattooed before he goes back to California on Sunday.
