Report: Steelers don't believe Brown will play vs. Bengals; Conner questionable
The Pittsburgh Steelers are not optimistic that wide receiver Antonio Brown will be available to play in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cincinnati Bengals due to knee soreness, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Although Brown is listed as questionable for Sunday's pivotal matchup, he apparently hasn't responded well after playing on turf against the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 and didn't participate in Saturday's practice.
The seven-time Pro Bowler caught 14 of 19 targets last week for 185 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn't missed a game this season.
Running back James Conner's availability will be determined following pregame tests as he attempts to return from an ankle sprain, Schefter adds. Conner hasn't played since Week 13 but is determined to make his return.
The Steelers enter Sunday's game second in the AFC North to the Baltimore Ravens with a record of 8-6-1. Pittsburgh will need a win or tie against the Bengals coupled with a Ravens loss to the Cleveland Browns in order to win the division and make the postseason.
They could also get in with a win and a tie between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.
