Report: Late injury causes Foles to fall 4 snaps short of $1M bonus
A fourth-quarter injury on Sunday caused Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to fall four snaps shy of a $1-million playing-time bonus, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Foles needed to play 33 percent of his team's offensive snaps this season to cash in on the incentive. He finished a hair short of the benchmark after being forced to leave the Eagles' 24-0 win over the Washington Redskins with a chest ailment. He played 61 of the Eagles' 71 offensive snaps in Week 17.
Foles started two games to open the season while Carson Wentz was still recovering from a torn ACL, and started the last three with Wentz sidelined by a back injury.
The Eagles won all three of Foles' starts down the stretch to sneak back into the playoffs.
