Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz is expected to be healthy enough to fully participate in the team's offseason program in April, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Wentz is currently recovering from a stress fracture in his back that is expected to take two-to-three months to heal. He missed the Eagles' last five games as a result - including two playoff contests.

Schefter adds that the star pivot's back ailment could potentially be related to the knee injury that ended his 2017 campaign.

Despite Wentz's injury history, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson recently confirmed that the former No. 2 overall pick will be the team's starting quarterback moving forward.

Nick Foles took over as Philadelphia's starter for a second consecutive season after Wentz was lost for the year, leading the team to the NFC divisional round.
