Participants in the Power of the Pen Creative Writing program will be honoured at an awards ceremony on Jan. 25 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the central branch of the Hamilton Public Library, 55 York Blvd. More than 200 poetry and short fiction entries were submitted by youth. Local author Steve Newberry will be keynote speaker. The awards begin at 7 p.m.
