A new City of Hamilton service will enable applicants to do their building permit requests online. Those interested can visit www.hamilton.ca/eplans to learn how. It is, according to the city, as simple as completing an online application, uploading digital drawings and documents and sending revisions in electronically, then waiting to receive a permit. The service is part of the city's "Open for Business" initiative to streamline processes and encourage investment.
