New England Patriots safety Devin McCourty said Monday that he'll consider retirement if his team is triumphant Sunday in Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams.

With nine NFL seasons under his belt and two rings on his hand, McCourty doesn't know what else he'd be left to achieve if he wins a third title alongside his teammate and twin brother Jason.

"I don't know for sure, man. But I do look at it - if we can win this game, winning with my brother, I don't know what else I could do that could top that," McCourty said at Opening Night, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. "So I'm just trying to make sure I enjoy this season and enjoy these last couple days with these guys."

Devin has spent his entire career in New England and has one season remaining on a five-year, $47.5-million deal signed in 2015 - one of the few big-money extensions the Patriots have handed out to a defensive back in the Bill Belichick era.

Jason - who joined his brother on an NFL roster for the first time after a March trade - is set to become a free agent this offseason.
