Chiefs ask Mahomes to stop playing pickup basketball
The Kansas City Chiefs asked Patrick Mahomes to stop playing basketball after a video of the MVP quarterback in a pickup game went viral.
"As soon as I saw it, it probably took me two seconds to call his agent and tell him that was a big no-no," Chiefs general manager Brett Veach told 810 WHB-AM on Thursday.
"The (Chiefs) Kingdom can rest assured that we have that under control; no more basketball for Pat."

Mahomes took the NFL by storm in his sophomore campaign, throwing for more than 5,000 yards and 50 touchdowns. However, his basketball exhibition had the Chiefs worrying about the possibility of a major injury.
"We were able to nip that in the bud and we feel good about the plan of no basketball with Pat moving forward," Veach added.
At least one fellow NFL star took exception to the Chiefs' request:
Haha yea that's gonna work. If they don't want him hooping then put it in the contract. It's not there so he can do as he pleases. Most players do https://t.co/HPNN7VMqVv
