Carr: Raiders would welcome Brown 'arms wide open'
Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has heard the rumors linking his team to Antonio Brown.
Speaking at a charity event on Saturday, Carr said the Raiders would welcome the addition of the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver.
"I hope he's in play. It would be great to add a guy like that to your team, talent like that," Carr said, according to Anthony Galaviz of the Fresno Bee.
"If it works out in the business side, I know the locker room will be arms wide open to accepting Antonio."
The Steelers are said to be seeking a first-round draft pick for Brown, something the Raiders have in spades. Oakland has three Day 1 selections in this year's draft and an abundance of cap space to incorporate Brown's contract.
Carr also admitted that Oakland has the need for an All-Pro.
"We need more talent," he said. "We need some help, but at the same time, we want good people. When things are tough in training camp; when things are tough in season; when it's good, you don't want guys hitting too high or too low or depressed. It's just draining for everybody. One of the most important traits is they have to love football. There's a lot of people out there who don't love football, and I don't want anything to do with those guys."
