Report: Bears approached by teams about Howard trade
The Chicago Bears were approached by multiple teams during the combine about a potential trade for running back Jordan Howard, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Trade discussions are still ongoing, Schefter added.
The 24-year-old had his role reduced in first-year head coach Matt Nagy's offense last season, as the Bears relied more heavily on the dynamic Tarik Cohen.
Howard carried the ball 26 fewer times in 2018 compared to the previous season, and he continued to see limited work in the passing game.
Chicago drafted Howard in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
The running back had 250 carries, 935 rushing yards, and nine touchdowns during the 2018 campaign. He surpassed 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons with the Bears.
