Antonio Brown got his wish this weekend when the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to trade him to the Oakland Raiders.

Many had tabbed the Raiders as a likely landing spot for the All-Pro receiver, and those in Brown's camp believe things worked out nicely.

"This is just a great fit for Antonio," Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said on ESPN's "SportsCenter" on Sunday.

"He wanted a fresh start and certainly got an opportunity to go to a renowned franchise, one of the marquee franchises in the NFL, a historical team. I'm sure (late owner) Al Davis would be very proud of this transaction."

When the trade is made official at the start of the new league year on Wednesday, Brown will move from a perennial conference contender to a rebuilding Raiders squad that's still finalizing a home stadium for the 2019 season.

But while Oakland isn't expected to contend this year, those on Brown's end are saying all the right things about his new team.

"Jon Gruden, I believe, is a future Hall of Fame coach and one of the great offensive minds in football, and the Raiders have a fantastic franchise quarterback in Derek Carr, they have a great tradition, great fan base, moving to Las Vegas," Rosenhaus added.

Brown spent his first nine seasons in Pittsburgh before their public divorce this winter. Regardless, Rosenhaus said there are "no hard feelings" between the player and the franchise.

"Obviously, things fell apart at the end of the season," the agent continued.

"Antonio wanted to play in the last game against the Bengals; it didn't work out that way, there were a lot of things said that, really, it was a divorce. Antonio had nine great years. Sometimes in life, whether it's sport or business, you have a great relationship, but things happen, and you have to move on."
