Longtime Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis will sign with the Los Angeles Chargers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Davis will receive a two-year deal worth $10.5 million, with half of it guaranteed in 2019, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

The 35-year-old spent 14 years with the Panthers, but he was informed after the 2018 season that the team wouldn't be retaining him.

Davis remained an effective player for Carolina in 2018, though the Panthers limited his snaps throughout the season.

A three-time Pro Bowler, Davis posted 79 tackles over 12 games last season. He missed the first four games of the year while serving a suspension for a failed performance-enhancing drugs test.
