The Houston Texans are set to sign cornerback Bradley Roby to a one-year contract worth $10 million, a source told James Palmer of NFL Network.

Roby told Mike Klis of 9News that he turned down a three-year offer from the Pittsburgh Steelers and a one-year deal with the San Francisco 49ers to sign with the Texans.

"It's a prove-it deal," the former first-round pick said. "I feel like I should go back in (the market) while I'm still young.''

Roby spent his first five seasons with the Denver Broncos, starting 29 games while primarily manning the slot.

The 26-year-old was moved outside last season after the Broncos traded Aqib Talib, but struggled at his new position, finishing as Pro Football Focus' 97th-ranked corner.

Roby will be part of a new-look Texans secondary. Starters Tyrann Mathieu and Kareem Jackson have left the AFC South outfit in free agency, while former Jacksonville Jaguar Tashaun Gipson reportedly inked a three-year, $22-million deal with Houston.
