Marc-Andre Fleury: 'I really want to score'
Marc-Andre Fleury has checked off quite a few boxes during his career, but one accomplishment remains elusive.
"I really want to score," the Vegas Golden Knights goaltender told The Athletic's Jesse Granger on Wednesday. "I just want to be able to celebrate and see how it feels for once."
Fleury is best known for stopping the puck, but he occasionally plays as a forward during informal practice sessions.

"Growing up I always wanted to make the passes and score," the veteran added. "I just think it looks like fun. I love playing out as a forward. During summer workouts I always play as a forward and I will even play some ball hockey as a forward in the street."
Martin Brodeur is the all-time leader in goals by a netminder with three, but only one was a result of him directly shooting the puck into the opposing net. Ron Hextall is the lone goalie in NHL history to directly score two goals.
