Seahawks re-sign K.J. Wright on 2-year deal
The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing linebacker K.J. Wright to a two-year contract worth up to $15 million, the linebacker told ESPN's Josina Anderson.
Wright has spent his entire eight-year career with the Seahawks after he was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He's emerged as a stable presence next to All-Pro Bobby Wagner, and is equally adept in run defense and pass coverage.
The 29-year-old missed 11 games in 2018 after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. He amassed 23 tackles in five starts.
With the signing, Seattle has retained all three starting linebackers from last season after reportedly agreeing to terms with Mychal Kendricks on Wednesday.
