4-time Pro Bowler Josh Sitton retires

Veteran free-agent guard Josh Sitton retired from the NFL on Thursday just hours after his wife gave birth to their child, he announced during an interview with ESPN Wisconsin.

Sitton played 11 seasons for the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins. The 32-year-old was named to four Pro Bowls while a member of the Packers and earned a first-team All-Pro nod in 2014.

After eight years in Green Bay, Sitton stayed in the NFC North for two more seasons with the rival Bears, before spending all but one game on injured reserve in 2018 with the Dolphins.

Sitton is the latest prominent former Packer to hang up his cleats following the retirements of T.J. Lang and Jordy Nelson.
