Drew Lock is among the quartet of quarterbacks - along with Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, and Daniel Jones - who will almost certainly hear their name called on Day 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft.

However, the ex-Missouri standout believes the money and status that comes with being the top overall pick isn't worth landing with a potentially poorly run franchise.

"I'd 100 percent rather go 32nd to the right team than No. 1 to a bad team,'' Lock told Don Banks of Patriots.com on Thursday. "If that happened (being drafted by the Patriots), I'd be honored for sure. Tom's obviously there for a couple more years, but to be able to sit behind a guy like that and learn from one of the best quarterbacks of all time - if not the best - I think that's an ideal situation for any quarterback."

Murray is widely expected to be the Arizona Cardinals' man at the top of the draft, while Jones and Haskins appear set to go within the first 10 picks.

With a host of teams looking for a young quarterback to groom, Lock is unlikely to fall to the reigning Super Bowl champions, who've yet to signal any interest in drafting Brady's heir apparent this year.
