The Arizona Cardinals have done a masterful job of keeping draftniks guessing about their plans for the first overall pick in Thursday's NFL draft.

Though the consensus among mock drafters is the team will select Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray, the Cardinals have apparently given no indication to league insiders that's the case.

In fact, the team has even informed Alabama defensive tackle Quinnen Williams he's still in the running to be the selection at No. 1 overall, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport suggests other prospects may have received a similar message

It's possible the Cardinals have decided who they'll select and are simply building the drama, or perhaps leaving the door open for a possible trade down the board if the team gets an 11th-hour offer it can't refuse. But it appears increasingly likely that Arizona's brass truly hasn't come to a consensus regarding the pick yet.

Complicating matters is the fact that Josh Rosen, the Cardinals' first-round pick a year ago, remains on the roster. ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the Cardinals haven't received an acceptable trade offer for Rosen, and some in the organization are concerned about whether Rosen and Murray could coexist on the same roster.
