An accident report of the May 2 single-vehicle crash involving Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul says he lost control of the vehicle before it collided with a concrete barrier, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.

Pierre-Paul was traveling south on I-95 when the vehicle "ran off the roadway," according to the Florida Highway Patrol's report released on Wednesday.

His red Ferrari "did a 360," Pierre-Paul said in a 911 call.

"Hey, I'm on the middle of the highway and I'm by the Fort Lauderdale airport, International Boulevard by the sign Davie Boulevard and my car just did a 360 in the middle of the road and I'm headed south. I mean north," he said.

Pierre-Paul and passenger James Thompson were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. Pierre-Paul's condition was listed as "apparently normal" at the time of the crash. However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that the 30-year-old suffered a fractured neck and he might sit out the 2019 season.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Buccaneers said an evaluation of Pierre-Paul is ongoing.
