He was on Stephen Colbert's show, and summed it up in a single line, thoughtfully and with great depth.
Stephen Colbert: "What do you think happens when we die, Keanu Reeves?"
Reeves: "I know the ones who love us will miss us."

It's interesting to think how people almost always selfishly argue about what happens to us when we die. It's refreshing to see someone who's first thought is sympathy for those who are left behind.
