Former New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski is only 30 years old, which means he'll likely spend the next several years surrounded by speculation about an NFL comeback.

But the future Hall of Famer said Sunday he's happy in retirement and isn't considering a return.

"Oh man! Whatever I say, it doesn't matter. It will always be crazy out there, but you can put them to rest," Gronkowski said while taking part in the One Mission Buzz Off for Kids at Gillette Stadium, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. "I'm feeling good. (In a) good place. It's great to be back here."

The tight end dealt with a host of injuries throughout his nine-year career, including multiple knee and back issues, leading to him hang up his cleats at a time when most players are in their prime.

Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said he wouldn't be shocked if his client plays in 2019 following his March retirement, speculating that a late-season call to arms from Tom Brady could be enough to convince him to return.

"If the team was struggling or they needed him at some point next year, and let's just say hypothetically Tom Brady gave him a call and said 'Rob, I need you.' I wouldn't be shocked if he came back to play a few games," Rosenhaus said.

However, Gronkowski has personally rejected any speculation he could suit up in the NFL again. With his latest denial, it may be time to accept the league has witnessed its last "Gronk Spike."
