It appears Malcolm Jenkins isn't planning on joining the Philadelphia Eagles for offseason workouts any time soon.

The veteran safety hasn't attended voluntary organized team activities, and ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday that his holdout has no end in sight.

Philadelphia will kick off its minicamp next week, so its possible Jenkins will skip mandatory practices as he searches for a new contract. Head coach Doug Pederson said Monday that he expects all players to attend the camp, according to NJ.com's Zack Rosenblatt.

Jenkins is a versatile, vital chess piece within the Eagles' defense, who lines up at multiple positions and stars against both the run and pass. He amassed 97 tackles, three forced fumbles, and one interception in 2018.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are working out free-agent safety Johnathan Cyprien on Tuesday, according to Schefter. Cyprien spent the last two seasons with the Tennessee Titans after four years with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The hard-hitting defensive back missed the entire 2018 campaign with a torn ACL, but has started all 70 games he's played in since being drafted in 2013.
