Mapping Indigenous past and present

The Canadian Geographic Society, in conjunction with McMaster University, installed a giant floor map (11 X 8 metres) showing Canada's Indigenous past and present in the McMaster University Student Centre. The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada Giant Floor Map will be on display June 12 and 13. The map is intended to be walked on and will be accompanied by educational resources and activities. The map was created by the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in collaboration with a number of Indigenous and ally educators and organizations.
