What Mike Pompeo forgot about the flag

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo issued a directive last week prohibiting US diplomatic facilities from flying the LGBTQ rainbow flag from their flagpoles. Though the flag can still be displayed in other ways during Pride Month, Pompeo's decision to specifically ban flagpole use was a break from previous practice and sends an unfortunate message to people around the world about the values America should be espousing and the sort of people we really are.
