Report: Canucks to meet with Myers when UFA negotiation window opens
The Vancouver Canucks will meet with defenseman Tyler Myers when the unrestricted free-agent negotiation window opens Sunday, reports Sportsnet 650's Rick Dhaliwal.
Myers' contract with Winnipeg, which carried a $5.5-million cap hit, expired after the 2018-19 campaign. The 6-foot-8 blue-liner will likely be too pricey for the cap-crunched Jets to retain, but it appears the Canucks won't be the only team to have him on their radar.
Pending UFA D Tyler Myers will meet/speak with a handful of teams over the next week, starting with a visit in Vancouver on Sunday. The Myers camp waiting to hear back from the Jets as well

The 29-year-old appeared in 80 games this past season, registering 31 points while averaging just over 20 minutes per night.
Vancouver already made a splash in the early stages of the offseason, acquiring J.T. Miller from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Factoring in that trade and the newly set salary cap of $81.5 million, the Canucks have nearly $17.8 million to spend this summer, according to CapFriendly.
