Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown announced Monday that he has settled a lawsuit stemming from an April 2018 incident at a Florida apartment complex.

Brown allegedly trashed an apartment and threw furniture off the 14th-floor balcony of the complex.

The man who filed the suit, Ophir Sternberg, claimed Brown had endangered his 22-month-old son and the boy's grandfather by nearly hitting them with the items thrown from the condo window.

"The legal dispute between Ophir Sternberg and me has been resolved, with a confidential sum of funds being donated to charity," Brown wrote in a since-deleted tweet. "I am sorry that an incident occurred. I apologize for any statements we made in court filings or otherwise to Mr. Sternberg and family. I wish Mr. Sternberg my best with regard to future endeavors and through this settlement, seek to make amends with Mr. Sternberg and family."

Attorneys for Brown filed a motion in October to dismiss the lawsuit, according to Sean Gentile of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The filing stated that Sternberg's claims were "false, meritless, and a flagrant misinterpretation of the situation that occurred."

Brown released a statement the same day the motion to dismiss the suit was filed, saying "the facts will soon come out that prove my innocence."

The All-Pro receiver - who was a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers at the time - was in a rage over a missing $80,000 in cash and a handgun, according to Sternberg's suit and police reports obtained by Gentile.

After releasing his statement Monday, Brown posted seven tweets in quick succession, ranging from inspirational-type quotes to photos of his children.

Brown was also facing a separate lawsuit from the apartment's landlord. The status of that dispute is unknown.
