The Kansas City Chiefs are welcoming back Tyreek Hill with open arms.

The NFL announced last week it won't suspend Hill after completing "a comprehensive investigation" into allegations of child abuse, and Chiefs head coach Andy Reid insisted the team is pleased to have the speedy receiver back for training camp.

"We're comfortable with Tyreek coming back here," Reid told reporters Tuesday, according to ProFootballTalk's Michael David Smith. "We look forward to bringing him back here and having an opportunity to get back doing what he loves to do. He has some obligations he'll take care of as he goes, and I'm not going to get into all that ...

"We have trust in Tyreek and we're going to go forward in a positive way here."

Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes said he stayed in touch with Hill during the investigation and doubled down on his coach's words of encouragement, emphasizing the receiver's desire to rejoin his teammates.

"I got to throw with (Hill)," the reigning league MVP said, according to PFT's Josh Alper. "He's in an excited mindset. He wants to be out here with the guys and to enjoy this."

Hill, 25, will return for the start of training camp July 26.
