The Philadelphia Eagles hired former CFL assistant general manager Catherine Raiche as their new football operations coordinator, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Raiche became the Canadian league's first female assistant GM in nearly 30 years when she was promoted by her hometown Montreal Alouettes in 2017.

She was also the director of football administration for the Toronto Argonauts last year and had a stint with the Tampa XFL franchise under former Argos head coach Marc Trestman.

The NFL has prioritized increasing the presence of women in team front offices and coaching staffs in recent years.

In 2018, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the first NFL team to employ two women as coaches on its staff by hiring Maral Javadifar as assistant strength and conditioning coach and Lori Locust as assistant defensive line coach.
