The Detroit Lions announced Saturday morning that they have signed free-agent defensive tackle Mike Daniels.

The one-year contract is worth $9.1 million and contains $7.8 million fully guaranteed, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a source.

The Packers released Daniels on Wednesday following seven seasons with the team. The Pro Bowler visited the Cleveland Browns before agreeing to join the Lions.

Daniels will bolster a defensive line in Detroit that already features a formidable foursome of Trey Flowers, Damon Harrison Sr., A'Shawn Robinson, and Da'Shawn Hand.

The 30-year-old posted 18 tackles and two sacks in 10 games last season, missing the other six contests with a foot injury. He recorded 34 tackles and five sacks in 14 appearances in 2017.
