Bengals, Cowboys, Texans donate to victims funds after shootings

Two NFL teams will step up with financial assistance following the shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas on the weekend.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced on Wednesday that, along with the NFL Foundation, they will donate $75,000 to the Dayton Oregon District Tragedy Fund to help those impacted by the shooting on Sunday which resulted in the deaths of nine people and left another 27 injured.

"Dayton is part of our community and we are saddened by the tragic events that took place this weekend," Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn said in a release.

The Dallas Cowboys also announced on Wednesday a $50,000 commitment to the El Paso Community Foundation Victims' Fund. Twenty-two people were killed and more than 24 injured in a shooting in El Paso on Saturday.

"Our hearts and support are with the entire El Paso community and especially with the families of the victims of this very tragic event," Cowboys executive Charlotte Jones Anderson said in a statement.

The Houston Texans also stepped up with a $100,000 donation to the El Paso Victims' Fund.
