The New York Islanders have come to terms with free-agent center Derick Brassard on a one-year contract, the team announced Wednesday.

The deal is reportedly worth $1.2 million, according to The Athletic's Arthur Staple.

Brassard, 31, has bounced around the league in recent years. He was acquired by the Pittsburgh Penguins from the Ottawa Senators in 2017-18. Brassard was then dealt from the Penguins to the Florida Panthers last season for a 10-game stint before being flipped to the Colorado Avalanche.

Between the three teams he suited up for in 2018-19, Brassard notched 23 points in 70 games while averaging 15 minutes per night.

Brassard was drafted sixth overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2006 and has posted 451 points in 786 career games during his 12-year career.
