Houston Texans' franchise-tagged pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney met with the Miami Dolphins amid speculation he will be traded, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Clowney met in person with Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, Rapoport adds.

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports the Dolphins are "very interested" in acquiring Clowney, but he prefers the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles as potential destinations.

Clowney has yet to sign his franchise tender with the Texans, which has led to questions surrounding his future. Texans head coach and acting general manager Bill O'Brien has said he doesn't know what's in store for the pass-rusher.

Unhappy with negotiations, Clowney recently fired longtime agent Bus Cook, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He was reportedly expected to join the team this week.

The 26-year-old has spent his entire five-year career with the Texans and has eclipsed nine sacks in each of the past two campaigns. The oft-injured star missed just two contests over that span.
