Raiders players want to focus on 'guys that are invested'

Antonio Brown concluded his summer-long saga with the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, but his former teammates are focusing their attention on players still in the locker room.
"I've got to worry about the guys that are here, the guys that are invested in the team and the guys that want to go on this journey with us," Raiders linebacker Tahir Whitehead said, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez. "We tried to be there for him and support (Brown), but at the end of the day, the most we can do is focus on the guys that want to be here and just roll with that.
"He didn't want to be here and we tried to support him, but at the end of the day, the rest of the guys in here were thinking team first and if, obviously, you didn't possess that type of mentality, then it's not going to work out."
Mere hours after he orchestrated his release from Oakland, the star wide receiver agreed to terms with the defending champion New England Patriots.
"I understand his point of view. At the same time, I understand (the Raiders') point of view," rookie running back Josh Jacobs said. "At the end of the day, it's not my business, so I just stay in my lane, focus, and control what I can control. ... (Brown's saga) wasn't nothing to me."
"AB was our teammate - hate to see him gone, praying for him," linebacker Vontaze Burfict added. "Hopefully he gets everything cleaned up. He's a great football player ... we're worried about Monday."
Raiders quarterback Derek Carr declined to speak with the media.
