Audio Notch Filter app?

this is what i am looking for, i searched github and sourceforge and no luck, i was hoping to find a simple app that shows either the audio as a spectrum or waterfall (or both) with a point and click notch filter that can be put anywhere in the audio and made as narrow or as wide as needed, i searched linuxquestions > forums > software and there are just a couple of old entries (one of them was mine) so i thought i would stir the pot a littlebit with a fresh thread, thanks in advance
seems like the audiophiles and SDR radio enthusiasts would have had this already years ago, but nope, none anywhere that i know of
