New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said that inserting rookie Daniel Jones as the team's starting quarterback isn't a "conversation for right now," according to Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper.

Shurmur's comments come after the Giants lost 28-14 to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, dropping to 0-2 to start the campaign.

The Giants selected Jones with the sixth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, seemingly with a plan to make him their franchise quarterback once the club moves on from Eli Manning.

However, the G-Men aren't ready to sit the two-time Super Bowl MVP who has recorded 556 passing yards, two picks, and two touchdowns through two games. Manning is also completing 60.3% of his pass attempts with an 84.1 passer rating.

The Giants head to Tampa Bay in Week 3, presumably with Manning still under center.
