Where to find answers (two)
by LQParsons from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4QJ4B)
Hello, two similar general questions, asked by way of specific questions.
64-bit CentOS/7 Linux -- 64-bit Firefox Quantum (60.8.0esr)
Sometimes playing a video-link, that works on my apple stuff (iOS), I get
Code:This video cannot be played because of a technical error.
(Error Code: 102006)I've had this often, over time, comes and goes.
I don't know if this is Linux or Firefox -- it's probably NOT the link, as it works on my Apple stuff.
Searching hasn't come up with anything, what little it has, refers to Windows.
Question#1 -- where do I go to find out what my error is and what to do about it?
Second similar question: lately my
Code:YUM UPDATEhas given me an error, similar to other mismatches it gets every so often
Code:Error: Package: qt5-qtwebkit-5.9.1-2.el7.x86_64 (epel)
Requires: qt5-qtbase(x86-64) = 5.9.7
Installed: qt5-qtbase-5.9.2-3.el7.x86_64 (@base)
qt5-qtbase(x86-64) = 5.9.2-3.el7
Error: Package: qt5-qtwebkit-5.9.1-2.el7.x86_64 (epel)
Requires: qt5-qtdeclarative(x86-64) = 5.9.7
Installed: qt5-qtdeclarative-5.9.2-1.el7.x86_64 (@base)
qt5-qtdeclarative(x86-64) = 5.9.2-1.el7
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigestQuestion #2 is, I think it is not wise to do either work-around.
If the YUM folk, who are a lot more versed, as well as more vested interest, haven't "solved" this problem, they will, they are working on it, etc. and so the best thing -- unless I'm forced due to some production constraint on my part -- is to patiently wait?
Part 2 of question 2, is assume that enough people have reported this, that I don't need to add ot the noise.
So wise ones of LinuxQuestion-verse, what to do?
Thanks.
